Yesterday, Tuesday 30 June, the PRBB community held a new edition of the Pride Walk, a walk to stand up for equality, diversity and the inclusion of LGBTQIA+ people.
The initiative, open to all Park residents, set off from the PRBB inner square at 9:00 and followed the seafront beyond the Port Olímpic, before returning to the Park.
The walk forms part of LGBTQIA+ Pride Month and commemorates the 57th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, considered a turning point in the movement for LGBTQIA+ rights.
The activity was organised by the Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee (GEDI) of the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), in collaboration with the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB) and the Park’s LGBTQIA+ Group.
With this walk, the Park once again joins the celebration of Pride and reinforces the PRBB community’s commitment to a more open, diverse and inclusive scientific environment.
Because walking together is also a way of making diversity visible.
