On Thursday 21 May, the entire community of the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB) gathered to celebrate the Park’s 20th anniversary under the slogan “Science from the beach”.
With the sea so close by and the warmer weather setting in, a party with a real summer vibe was a must: music, beach-themed decorations, drinks, a birthday cake and even a giant beach ball that was passed from hand to hand among all the guests.
One of the highlights of the afternoon was the ‘photo booth’, which encouraged the community to dress up, take some fun photos and take home a special memento of the event.
Beyond the celebrations, the event was also a way of recognising the community that brings the PRBB to life. Over the past two decades, the Park has established itself as a shared space for research, services, infrastructure and teams who work every day to advance science.
Here’s to many more years of science from the beach!
