This photo by Montse Barceló Riera was taken during a September evening, looking to the Hospital del Mar and the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB) from the sea.
Montse’s relationship with the PRBB goes back a long way. As she explains, as the building was being built, she was already fascinated.
“At the time I was the Managing Director of a Swedish clinical research company and we were growing a lot. I managed to get an appointment with Dr. Jordi Camí, the director of the Park, and I proposed to him that we could have our new offices in the PRBB, where I thought we could collaborate closely with some projects”.
Unfortunately, since we were a private company and the PRBB a public initiative, it could not be.
“But a good friendship with Dr Camí was born”, says Montse. And even today, she continues to enjoy the views of this magnificent building – especially at sunset when the sky lits up with deep red flames.
