Scientific architecture

Raul Peña from Hospital del Mar Research Institute sends us this photo from inside the building of the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB), one of the most unique buildings in Barcelona.

The steel, glass, wood and concrete structure offers residents a connected space where synergies and collaborations can emerge. The central structure with water connects it to the sea and generates wonderful games with lights during the different stages of the day, such as this one captured by Raul.

The PRBB was inaugurated in 2006 and is the work of architects Manel Brullet and Albert de Pineda. In 2007 it won the FAD opinion prize – Architecture.
