This week’s image shows artist Gemma París at the PRBB, surrounded by some of the drawings that make up La vida junts, an installation currently on display in the Park’s lobby. The exhibition brings together around one hundred works inspired by biomedical research carried out at the Department of Medicine and Life Sciences at Pompeu Fabra University (MELIS-UPF), many of them encapsulated in Petri dishes, in a striking dialogue between laboratory materials and artistic practice.
Developed during a five-month residency at the MELIS-UPF, the project translates scientific images and microscopic details into ink drawings that invite us to pause and look more closely. In that sense, the photograph captures more than an exhibition: it reflects a shared curiosity between art and science, both trying to make visible what usually goes unnoticed. La vida junts can be visited at the PRBB until 26 March.
