The new edition of the PRBB Award, organized by the Biomedical Research Park of Barcelona (PRBB) and the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences of the Pompeu Fabra University, opens today, January 12. The award aims to recognize the best research work in health and life sciences carried out in Catalonia by secondary school students in their senior year.
From this morning until Wednesday, March 1, 2023, students who wish to submit their work to the XVIII PRBB Award can do so by following the rules specified on the website.
The projects will be evaluated by different scientific committees to select the five finalists. The authors of these projects will defend them on April 27, when the final classification will be decided. However, all five finalists will receive an economic prize of between 200 and 1000 €.
Recognizing excellent research since 2005
Participating in the PRBB Award is a motivation and a first contact with real research for students interested in biomedicine. Looking back, several finalists of the PRBB Award have ended up being students of the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences of the UPF or researchers at the PRBB centres.
The award is a recognition of a work done with care and perseverance for months, as well as a push to enter the world of biomedical sciences.
