Now that we have had time to digest all the excitement and emotions of the OpenPRBB 2025, which we held on Saturday 4 October at the Biomedical Research Park (PRBB), there’s just one thing left to say: THANK YOU!
Thank you to the more than 1,000 visitors who spent a morning surrounded by science. They were able to attend workshops and talks that brought them closer to the research carried out at our centres. And, of course, they enjoyed visiting the laboratories to find out what is going on at the Park in the best possible way: directly from those doing the research. We love to see how some of these visitors return year after year to learn a little more about the PRBB.
“I really liked how the volunteers treated us and how they explained their work, always willing to answer our questions so that we could understand. You can’t help but fall in love with the research and the motivation of the people who work there. Congratulations to everyone, it was a wonderful day with the family learning about the cutting-edge science at the PRBB. Thank you!”

“We hope to be able to experience another Saturday full of science thanks to you and the enthusiasm you shared with us all. Keep up the good work in your exciting field, which we all need. Keep doing what you love and thank you for your generosity in allowing us to be part of your ‘team’ for a day. THANK YOU!!”

And, of course, thanks also to the more than 230 PRBB resident volunteers who made the day possible. They spent their Saturday teaching others about their daily work and explaining how they contribute to the advancement of science.
“It was a pleasure to see the public taking an interest in our work and asking us questions. It inspires us to continue on the path of science for the common good”

From the PRBB, we have nothing but words of gratitude for all those who made OpenPRBB 2025 a reality. And do mark the first Saturday of October 2026 in your calendars, because next year we will be celebrating the PRBB’s 20th anniversary and we will be throwing a big party!
