Núria Ros is a postdoctoral researcher at the Multicellgenome Lab led by Dr. Iñaki Ruiz-Trillo at the Institute for Evolutionary Biology (IBE: CSIC-UPF). She studies the filopodiated amoeba Capsaspora owczarzaki, one of the closest unicellular relatives of animals. She investigates the function of key genes related to animal multicellularity and has developed genetic tools to turn this organism into an experimentally tractable system. She complements her scientific career with outreach and teaching activities.
