Ivan is from Belgrade, Serbia, where he obtained a BSc in biochemistry and a MSc in molecular biology. Before joining the CRG, Ivan served as head of the biomedicine program at the Petnica Science Centre for high school students, and did internships at the LCSB in Luxemborug and KU Leuven in Belgium. Currently he is in the 4th year of his PhD, working under the supervision of Dr. Eva Novoa.
