Fins ara se sabia que quan un epiteli est\u00e0 massa comprimit, les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules sobrants s\u00f3n expulsades mitjan\u00e7ant un proc\u00e9s de mort controlada anomenat <strong>extrusi\u00f3 cel\u00b7lular<\/strong>; per\u00f2 no es coneixia qu\u00e8 feia que una c\u00e8l\u00b7lula fos expulsada mentre la seva ve\u00efna no ho era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upf.edu\/web\/biomed\/inici\/ca\/-\/asset_publisher\/Us0jfwFAevmx\/content\/extrusio-despolaritzacio-cellula-baixa-energia\/229891609\/maximized\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">nou estudi<\/a> demostra que les forces mec\u00e0niques derivades de la compressi\u00f3 en l&#8217;epiteli <strong>activen un corrent el\u00e8ctric que obre els <a href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/travessant-els-canals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">canals de sodi<\/a>, i que l&#8217;entrada de sodi despolaritza la membrana <\/strong>cel\u00b7lular. Les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules amb prou energia aconsegueixen bombar el sodi cap enfora i repolaritzar-se, per\u00f2 les que presenten d\u00e8ficits energ\u00e8tics no ho aconsegueixen: perden volum i s\u00f3n expulsades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aquesta troballa, liderada per <strong>Jody Rosenblatt <\/strong>del The Francis Crick Institute i el King&#8217;s College de Londres, juntament amb la participaci\u00f3 de <strong>Carlos Pardo-Pastor <\/strong>del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upf.edu\/web\/biomed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Departament de Medicina i Ci\u00e8ncies de la vida, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (MELIS-UPF)<\/a>, revela que els epitelis no nom\u00e9s depenen de senyals mec\u00e0nics, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 d&#8217;un <strong>\u00abcontrol de qualitat el\u00e8ctric\u00bb <\/strong>que actua com un <strong>sensor capa\u00e7 d&#8217;identificar c\u00e8l\u00b7lules febles i eliminar-les<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La recerca \u00e9s important perqu\u00e8 ofereix una possible explicaci\u00f3 del vincle entre <strong>mals h\u00e0bits alimentaris i un major risc de <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/cancer-un-problema-de-frens-i-acceleradors\/\" target=\"_blank\">c\u00e0ncer<\/a><\/strong>. Si la <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/un-esmorzar-optim-aporta-el-25-de-calories-diaries\/\" target=\"_blank\">ingesta cal\u00f2rica excessiva<\/a> interfereix amb aquest sensor de baixa energia, podria dificultar l&#8217;eliminaci\u00f3 de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules defectuoses i afavorir la seva acumulaci\u00f3, un fenomen t\u00edpic en tumors.
