Encara \u00e9s essencial fer experiments espec\u00edfics per entendre com funciona una determinada prote\u00efna o qu\u00e8 li passa a una c\u00e8l\u00b7lula o teixit concrets en un moment determinat. Per\u00f2 a gran part de la recerca puntera, els experiments biol\u00f2gics no tracten d\u2019un gen o d\u2019una prote\u00efna tan sols, sin\u00f3 de milers. Es tracta de les t\u00e8cniques que en angl\u00e8s es coneixen com \u201c<strong>omics<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/tag\/genomica\/\" target=\"_blank\">gen\u00f2mica <\/a><\/strong>(l\u2019estudi de milers de gens alhora) i la <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/tag\/proteomica\/\" target=\"_blank\">prote\u00f2mica <\/a><\/strong>(la determinaci\u00f3 de totes les prote\u00efnes d\u2019una c\u00e8l\u00b7lula) ja son comuns a molts laboratoris. Per\u00f2 no estan soles. Comencen a fer aparicions cada vegada m\u00e9s freq\u00fcents la <strong>transcript\u00f2mica <\/strong>(l\u2019an\u00e0lisi de tots els gens expressats en un moment donat), la <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/un-sonet-a-la-metabolomica-guanyador-del-concurs-rima-la-ciencia\/\" target=\"_blank\">metabol\u00f2mica <\/a><\/strong>(l\u2019estudi del metabolisme de l\u2019organisme a gran escala, analitzant les diferents vies alhora), la <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/farmacogenomica-com-lherencia-genetica-modula-lefecte-dels-medicaments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">farmacogen\u00f2mica<\/a> <\/strong>(l\u2019estudi quantitatiu de com la gen\u00e8tica d\u2019un individu afecta la seva resposta a les drogues) o la <strong>fisi\u00f2mica <\/strong>(la din\u00e0mica de la fisiologia de tot l\u2019organisme).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Estem preparats per l\u2019enorme quantitat d\u2019informaci\u00f3 que obtindrem d\u2019aquestes disciplines? Aquesta \u00e9s una de les q\u00fcestions que fan que la <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/unes-170-persones-es-troben-al-prbb-pels-25-anys-de-bioconductor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bioinform\u00e0tica <\/a><\/strong>sigui cada vegada m\u00e9s necess\u00e0ria en la <strong>recerca biom\u00e8dica<\/strong>, que al seu torn est\u00e0 esdevenint m\u00e9s <strong>multidisciplinar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Per entendre com funciona un organisme de forma global s\u00f3n necess\u00e0ries totes aquestes disciplines. L\u2019anomenada<strong> biologia de sistemes<\/strong> \u00e9s un camp dins la biomedicina que busca precisament la integraci\u00f3 de totes aquestes dades (dels milers de gens, tr\u00e0nscripts, prote\u00efnes i metab\u00f2lits) per comprendre finalment com som i com funcionem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:53px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Els \u201comics\u201d al PRBB<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al PRBB, aquest canvi d\u2019escala no \u00e9s una idea abstracta. Diverses plataformes tecnol\u00f2giques dels centres que l\u2019integren ajuden els equips de recerca a generar dades \u00f2miques i a estudiar ADN, ARN i prote\u00efnes a gran escala. En l\u2019\u00e0mbit de la gen\u00f2mica, la <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.crg.eu\/en\/programmes-groups\/genomics-unit?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\">Genomics Unit del CRG<\/a> ofereix serveis de seq\u00fcenciaci\u00f3 de nova generaci\u00f3 per a m\u00faltiples aplicacions d\u2019ADN i ARN, mentre que la <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.upf.edu\/web\/sct-genomics\/home?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\">Genomics Core Facility de la UPF<\/a> proporciona m\u00e8todes d\u2019an\u00e0lisi d\u2019ADN i ARN, incloent seq\u00fcenciaci\u00f3, PCR, control de qualitat i suport bioinform\u00e0tic. En prote\u00f2mica, la <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.crg.eu\/en\/programmes-groups\/crgupf-proteomics-unit?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\">CRG\/UPF Proteomics Unit<\/a> dona suport a la recerca biom\u00e8dica amb serveis d\u2019an\u00e0lisi de prote\u00efnes i tecnologies avan\u00e7ades d\u2019espectrometria de masses.
