{"id":41746,"date":"2024-04-09T12:55:03","date_gmt":"2024-04-09T10:55:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/?p=41746"},"modified":"2024-05-27T14:21:53","modified_gmt":"2024-05-27T12:21:53","slug":"la-ia-permetra-dissenyar-vectors-virals-a-la-carta-per-al-tractament-del-cancer-i-les-malalties-rares","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/la-ia-permetra-dissenyar-vectors-virals-a-la-carta-per-al-tractament-del-cancer-i-les-malalties-rares\/","title":{"rendered":"La IA permetr\u00e0 dissenyar vectors virals a la carta per al tractament del c\u00e0ncer i les malalties rares"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El<strong> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.upf.edu\/web\/biomed\" target=\"_blank\">Departament de Medicina i Ci\u00e8ncies de la vida, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (MELIS-UPF)<\/a><\/strong> i la<em> <strong>spin-off<\/strong><\/em><strong> de la UPF <a href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/integra-therapeutics-officially-sustainable\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Integra Therapeutics<\/a><\/strong> participen en un consorci, amb altres centres de recerca i empreses, per desenvolupar <strong>nous tractaments virals dissenyats amb intel\u00b7lig\u00e8ncia artificial (IA). <\/strong>Completen el consorci l&#8217;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ibmb.csic.es\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">Institut de Biologia Molecular de Barcelona (IBMB-CSIC)<\/a>, el <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ciemat.es\/\" target=\"_blank\">Centre d&#8217;Investigacions Energ\u00e8tiques, Mediambientals i Tecnol\u00f2giques (CIEMAT) <\/a>i les empreses <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vivebiotech.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">VIVEbiotech<\/a> i <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.onechaintx.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">OneChain Immunotherapeutics<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.upf.edu\/web\/biomed\/news\/-\/asset_publisher\/CRcETTCV7Uyn\/content\/un-equip-d-investigadors-espanyols-on-participa-la-upf-dissenyar%C3%A0-prote%C3%AFnes-mitjan%C3%A7ant-ia-per-a-fer-m%C3%A9s-eficients-les-ter%C3%A0pies-avan%C3%A7ades\/10193\/maximized\" target=\"_blank\">La IA permetr\u00e0<strong> dissenyar vectors virals a la carta<\/strong><\/a> per al tractament de <strong>c\u00e0ncers i malalties rares com les an\u00e8mies heredit\u00e0ries<\/strong>. Ara mateix, per a alguns d&#8217;aquests casos s&#8217;utilitza ter\u00e0pia cel\u00b7lular: a\u00efllar c\u00e8l\u00b7lules del pacient, modificar-les per corregir-les gen\u00e8ticament i reintroduir-les. L&#8217;aplicaci\u00f3 d&#8217;algoritmes d&#8217;intel\u00b7lig\u00e8ncia artificial, com els que s&#8217;usen per al processament de textos, permetr\u00e0 dissenyar noves seq\u00fc\u00e8ncies d&#8217;ADN i prote\u00efnes per introduir-les directament al pacient, evitant l&#8217;extracci\u00f3 de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules per modificar-les i reimplantar-les posteriorment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aix\u00f2 suposa un aven\u00e7 per a la <strong>comoditat del pacient <\/strong>i a m\u00e9s <strong>abarateix els costos <\/strong>del tractament. Encara que aquests primers estudis es focalitzen en tractaments per al c\u00e0ncer i malalties de la sang, en el futur es podrien fer servir per tractar malalties autoimmunes o l&#8217;envelliment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMitjan\u00e7ant l&#8217;<strong>aplicaci\u00f3 de la&nbsp;IA&nbsp;amb t\u00e8cniques d&#8217;evoluci\u00f3 dirigida<\/strong>, optimitzarem l&#8217;efici\u00e8ncia i precisi\u00f3 del proc\u00e9s d&#8217;identificaci\u00f3, direcci\u00f3 i lliurament de les noves part\u00edcules virals a c\u00e8l\u00b7lules concretes de l&#8217;organisme del pacient perqu\u00e8 actu\u00efn, \u00fanicament, en aquelles c\u00e8l\u00b7lules que necessiten ser tractades\u201d, explica<strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/skindev-un-projecte-de-biologia-sintetica-per-a-tractar-la-dermatitis\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Marc G\u00fcell<\/a><\/strong>, director del <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/synbio.upf.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Laboratori de Biologia Sint\u00e8tica Traslacional<\/a> de la UPF i tamb\u00e9 <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/45-me-per-al-desenvolupament-de-tecnologies-denginyeria-genetica-dultima-generacio\/\" target=\"_blank\">co-fundador d&#8217;Integra Therapeutics<\/a> junt amb la CEO de l&#8217;empresa, <strong>Avencia S\u00e1nchez-Mej\u00edas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aquest projecte de 3 anys \u00e9s un dels 40 seleccionats pel nou <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/The Transmisiones programme aims to improve the impact of R&amp;D&amp;I with a new model of public-private collaboration, establishing priority challenges for research and coordinating the calls for proposals from the different R&amp;D funding agencies (CDTI, AEI and ISCIII).\" target=\"_blank\">programa TransMisiones<\/a><\/strong> del Ministeri de Ci\u00e8ncia, Innovaci\u00f3 i Universitats i el Centre per al Desenvolupament Tecnol\u00f2gic i d&#8217;Innovaci\u00f3 (CDTI). Rep 3,8 milions d&#8217;euros de finan\u00e7ament.
