{"id":41284,"date":"2024-03-18T17:00:35","date_gmt":"2024-03-18T16:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/?p=41284"},"modified":"2024-03-19T15:23:48","modified_gmt":"2024-03-19T14:23:48","slug":"com-els-ecosistemes-resisteixen-a-la-sequera","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/com-els-ecosistemes-resisteixen-a-la-sequera\/","title":{"rendered":"Com els ecosistemes resisteixen a la sequera"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un estudi internacional, en qu\u00e8 ha participat l&#8217;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ibe.upf-csic.es\/\" target=\"_blank\">Institut de Biologia Evolutiva (IBE: CSIC-UPF)<\/a> i el <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.upf.edu\/web\/biomed\" target=\"_blank\">Departament de Medicina i Ci\u00e8ncies de la vida, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (MELIS-UPF)<\/a>, ha relacionat <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ibe.upf-csic.es\/home\/-\/asset_publisher\/T2caeLMECPvW\/content\/the-distribution-of-vegetation-acts-as-a-firebreak-against-the-collapse-of-arid-ecosystems\/maximized\" target=\"_blank\">els <strong>patrons de distribuci\u00f3 de la vegetaci\u00f3<\/strong> amb la capacitat de resili\u00e8ncia a la desertificaci\u00f3 dels ecosistemes<\/a>. Quan la vegetaci\u00f3 se sotmet a un estr\u00e8s, per exemple, la sequera, adquireix un patr\u00f3 de distribuci\u00f3 caracter\u00edstic, en illes de vegetaci\u00f3 envoltades de s\u00f2l nu. A mesura que augmenta la manca d&#8217;aigua, augmenta la separaci\u00f3 entre les plantes. Aquest patr\u00f3 permet que l&#8217;ecosistema sigui m\u00e9s <strong>resistent al col\u00b7lapse i la desertificaci\u00f3<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La <strong>sequera<\/strong> \u00e9s un escenari cada cop m\u00e9s freq\u00fcent a causa del <strong>canvi clim\u00e0tic<\/strong>. Es calcula que <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/un-mapa-global-de-la-desertificacio-del-planeta\/\" target=\"_blank\">el 20% de la superf\u00edcie terrestre passar\u00e0 per un dels llindars de desertificaci\u00f3 abans del 2100<\/a>. <strong>Espanya \u00e9s un territori molt vulnerable<\/strong> a aquest impacte. L&#8217;estudi d&#8217;aquests patrons pot servir per monitorar la degradaci\u00f3 dels ecosistemes. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/es\/desarrollado-un-modelo-de-biologia-sintetica-para-entender-la-formacion-de-los-organismos\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Ricard Sol\u00e9<\/strong>,<\/a> Investigador Principal del <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ibe.upf-csic.es\/sole\" target=\"_blank\">Laboratori de Sistemes Complexos<\/a> de l&#8217;IBE, i del MELIS-UPF, explica que \u00abels resultats de l&#8217;estudi tamb\u00e9 serviran de base per <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/blai-vidiella-ibe-terraformar-la-terra-vol-dir-lluitar-contra-els-canvis-que-els-humans-ja-hem-provocat-al-planeta\/\" target=\"_blank\">desenvolupar estrat\u00e8gies d&#8217;intervenci\u00f3 amb biologia sint\u00e8tica<\/a>\u00ab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La investigaci\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 ha ajudat a entendre millor com <strong>la sobreexplotaci\u00f3 dels ecosistemes causada per l&#8217;\u00e9sser hum\u00e0 altera la seva capacitat per respondre al canvi clim\u00e0tic<\/strong>. Si la vegetaci\u00f3 dels llocs \u00e0rids es destrueix, augmenta l&#8217;escassetat d&#8217;aigua i la possibilitat de desertificaci\u00f3.
