I aquest, precisament, \u00e9s l&#8217;objectiu de <strong>Flomics Biotech<\/strong>, una startup sorgida al <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.prbb.org\/?l=ca\" target=\"_blank\">Parc de Recerca Biom\u00e8dica de Barcelona (PRBB)<\/a> especialitzada en <strong>biotecnologia i gen\u00f2mica<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fundada a finals de 2018 per <strong>Jo\u00e3o Curado<\/strong>, <strong>Luis Korrodi<\/strong>, <strong>Esther Lizano<\/strong> i <strong>Andr\u00e9 Guedes<\/strong>, del <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.crg.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Centre de Regulaci\u00f3 Gen\u00f2mica (CRG)<\/a> i la Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), ara el 2022 han aconseguit <strong>tancar la primera ronda llavor d&#8217;inversi\u00f3<\/strong> de <strong>1.000.000\u20ac<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Si b\u00e9 anteriorment ja havien obtingut ajuts i subvencions que ascendien a 500.000\u20ac, aquesta ha estat la primera ronda de finan\u00e7ament extern que han aconseguit. Curado explica que <strong>aconseguir aquests fons ha estat tot un repte<\/strong> perqu\u00e8 \u201cens hem enfrontat al factor pand\u00e8mia que, \u00f2bviament, ha condicionat la quantitat d&#8217;esdeveniments i d&#8217;inversors disponibles per a empreses que s&#8217;enlairen\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:73px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Una t\u00e8cnica nova<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aquest impuls econ\u00f2mic servir\u00e0 a Flomics per continuar desenvolupant la seva soluci\u00f3 contra el c\u00e0ncer. Aposten per una t\u00e8cnica nova basada en l&#8217;\u00fas de <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/noves-tecniques-pel-tractament-del-cancer-de-recte-i-de-prostata\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bi\u00f2psies l\u00edquides<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>seq\u00fcenciaci\u00f3 d&#8217;\u00faltima generaci\u00f3 de mol\u00e8cules d&#8217;ARN<\/strong> i <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/intel%c2%b7ligencia-artificial-el-camp-de-proves-definitiu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">intel\u00b7lig\u00e8ncia artificial<\/a><\/strong> per aconseguir <strong>detectar diferents tipus de c\u00e0ncer a partir d&#8217;una \u00fanica mostra de sang<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fins ara, els diagn\u00f2stics es realitzaven intentant detectar les mutacions a l&#8217;ADN lliure de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules (cfDNA), que \u00e9s aquell que queda circulant una vegada les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules es llisen o \u201cexploten\u201d. Tot i aix\u00f2, l&#8217;equip de <strong>Flomics va decidir basar les seves bi\u00f2psies en ARN lliure de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules (cfRNA)<\/strong>, ja que, tal com Curado explica \u201cen totes les nostres c\u00e8l\u00b7lules l&#8217;ADN \u00e9s totalment igual, el genoma \u00e9s el mateix, per\u00f2 <strong>l&#8217;ARN \u00e9s la manifestaci\u00f3 din\u00e0mica<\/strong> i difereix entre diferents tipus de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules\u201d. Per aix\u00f2 afegeix que \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/les-modificacions-de-larn-possibles-biomarcadors-de-deteccio-de-la-progressio-del-cancer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">utilitzar l&#8217;ARN \u00e9s all\u00f2 que permet diferenciar diferents tipus de c\u00e0ncer<\/a> a partir d&#8217;una \u00fanica mostra de sang\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:45px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u00abL&#8217;ARN \u00e9s una mol\u00e8cula molt m\u00e9s din\u00e0mica i, per aix\u00f2, podem diferenciar diferents tipus de c\u00e0ncer a partir d&#8217;una \u00fanica mostra de sang\u00bb<\/p><p><strong><strong>Jo\u00e3o Curado<\/strong><\/strong>, co-fundador de Flomics Biotech<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:45px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A m\u00e9s, fer servir el cfRNA com a mol\u00e8cula de detecci\u00f3 presenta un altre avantatge. I \u00e9s que no cal que l&#8217;ARN pertanyi a la c\u00e8l\u00b7lula cancer\u00edgena, sin\u00f3 que tamb\u00e9 pot <strong>procedir de les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules contig\u00fces que intenten <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/gran-empenta-a-la-immunoterapia-contra-el-cancer-de-mama-mes-agressiu\/\" target=\"_blank\">lluitar contra el tumor<\/a><\/strong>. Aix\u00f2 \u00e9s aix\u00ed perqu\u00e8 quan aquestes c\u00e8l\u00b7lules coordinen la resposta contra el c\u00e0ncer, produeixen un ARN que tamb\u00e9 pot detectar-se en sang. \u201cAls estadis primerencs del c\u00e0ncer, trobar la mutaci\u00f3 al cfDNA ser\u00e0 molt dif\u00edcil, la probabilitat \u00e9s molt baixa. Per\u00f2 fixar-se en el cfRNA de les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules que lluiten contra el tumor t\u00e9 <strong>m\u00e9s garantia d&#8217;\u00e8xit<\/strong>\u201d, apunta Curado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aquestes t\u00e8cniques de seq\u00fcenciaci\u00f3 es combinen despr\u00e9s amb <strong>procediments de \u00ab<a href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/laplicacio-del-machine-learning-permet-tracar-la-historia-de-les-migracions-de-ledat-de-bronze\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">machine learning<\/a>\u00ab<\/strong> o intel\u00b7lig\u00e8ncia artificial. D&#8217;aquesta manera, els algorismes processen els milers de dades obtingudes i decideixen on hi ha informaci\u00f3 rellevant, cosa que aporta una <strong>visi\u00f3 m\u00e9s imparcial i menys esbiaixada<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:73px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Visi\u00f3 de futur<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&#8217;objectiu actual de Flomics \u00e9s desenvolupar un <strong>kit diagn\u00f2stic per a c\u00e0ncer de pulm\u00f3 i de c\u00f2lon<\/strong> que estigui disponible al mercat el <strong>2024 <\/strong>i, per al <strong>2026<\/strong>, poder presentar una <strong>versi\u00f3 actualitzada per a cinc tipus de c\u00e0ncer<\/strong>.
