Aix\u00ed ho confirma l&#8217;estudi en el que ha participat personal investigador del\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.upf.edu\/web\/biomed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Departament de Ci\u00e8ncies Experimentals i de la Salut, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (DCEXS-UPF)<\/a>\u00a0i la Universitat de Calif\u00f2rnia a San Diego (UCSD). El descobriment revela un paral\u00b7lelisme entre els\u00a0<strong>organismes unicel\u00b7lulars<\/strong> i les\u00a0<strong>neurones<\/strong> que processen la mem\u00f2ria al nostre cervell, molt m\u00e9s complexes.<\/p>\n<p>Abans d&#8217;arribar a aquesta troballa, el mateix equip cient\u00edfic havia descobert en un estudi previ que els bacteris als <strong>biofilms<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014\u00a0col\u00f2nies de bacteris que cooperen per <a href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/el-magnesi-afavoreix-la-supervivencia-dels-bacteris-front-a-antibiotics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">protegir als seus habitants d\u2019amenaces externes com ara els antibi\u00f2tics<\/a> \u2014 utilitzen <strong>senyals el\u00e8ctrics per comunicar-se<\/strong>. Aquests senyals consisteixen en <strong>\u00e0toms carregats (ions)<\/strong> que entren i surten de la c\u00e8l\u00b7lula, i la seva propagaci\u00f3 permet la comunicaci\u00f3 entre bacteris.<\/p>\n<p>Per demostrar la capacitat de mem\u00f2ria de\u00a0<em>B. subtilis<\/em>, es va utilitzar <strong>llum per variar aquest flux de ions<\/strong>. \u00abVam observar que dos bacteris ve\u00efns es comporten de forma diferent, depenent de si han rebut la llum o no.
