Per\u00f2 aquests &#8216;herois&#8217; poden acabar sent un problema: un exc\u00e9s d&#8217;interferons pot induir l&#8217;aparici\u00f3 de malalties inflamat\u00f2ries i autoimmunes. Tamb\u00e9 pot provocar una sobre-activaci\u00f3 de <a href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/cel%c2%b7lules-mare-generacio-i-regeneracio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">c\u00e8l\u00b7lules mare<\/a> hematopo\u00e8tiques i, conseq\u00fcentment, la desparici\u00f3 de les mateixes (les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules mare han de romandre en un estat quiescent, \u00e9s a dir, descansant en mode &#8216;reserva&#8217;, preparades per auto-activar-se quan es necessitin noves c\u00e8l\u00b7lules).<\/p>\n<p>Per aix\u00f2,\u00a0<strong>\u00e9s essencial poder regular amb precisi\u00f3 l&#8217;expressi\u00f3 dels interferons<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>La col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 de dos grups de recerca del\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.upf.edu\/web\/biomed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Departament de Ci\u00e8ncies Experimentals i de la Salut, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (DCEXS-UPF)<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 un liderat per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upf.edu\/web\/genimmune\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cristina L\u00f3pez-Rodr\u00edguez i Jose Aramburu<\/a>, i l&#8217;altre per <a href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/trajectories-de-limfocits-t-en-ganglis-limfatics-infectats-pel-vih\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Andreas Meyerhans<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 ha dut al recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upf.edu\/web\/biomed\/news\/-\/asset_publisher\/CRcETTCV7Uyn\/content\/id\/231022062\/maximized\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">descobriment d&#8217;un nou element<\/a> en la regulaci\u00f3 dels interferons. Utilitzant ratolins\u00a0<em>knock-out<\/em> per\u00a0<strong>NFAT5<\/strong>\u00a0(\u00e9s a dir, ratolins als quals els hi falta aquest gen) van trobar que aquesta mol\u00e8cula, coneguda per activar l&#8217;expressi\u00f3 de molts gens inflamatoris,\u00a0<strong>inhibeix l&#8217;expressi\u00f3 dels interferons<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12588\" src=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Interferons_CAT.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"933\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Interferons_CAT.png 800w, https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Interferons_CAT-96x224.png 96w, https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Interferons_CAT-768x1791.png 768w, https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Interferons_CAT-257x600.png 257w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hector Huerga, primer autor i estudiant de doctorat al <a href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/el-prbb-acull-el-simposi-anual-del-dcexs-upf-sobre-recerca-biomedica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DCEXS<\/a>, comenta que \u00abNAFT5 s&#8217;uneix a la regi\u00f3 reguladora d&#8217;interferons a la mateixa \u00e0rea on ho fa IRF3, un inductor d&#8217;interferons\u00bb. Per tant,\u00a0<strong>NAFT5 competeix amb IRF3 per la mateixa regi\u00f3<\/strong>, i aquesta competici\u00f3 \u00e9s el que realment\u00a0<strong>controla els nivells d&#8217;interferons<\/strong>, assegurant una resposta a l&#8217;atac viral sense comprometre la reserva de <a href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/que-es-la-leucemia-i-per-que-apareix\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">c\u00e8l\u00b7lules mare de la sang<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Huerga, que actualment est\u00e0 cursant el seu post-doctorat a l&#8217;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.crick.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Institut Crick<\/a> de Londres, afegeix: \u00absovint veiem que \u00e9s necessari que qualsevol resposta immunol\u00f2gica disposi d&#8217;un &#8216;fre&#8217;, i aix\u00ed evitar que aquesta resposta sigui excessiva. Aquesta \u00e9s una forma de protegir-nos de malalties causades per la sobreproducci\u00f3 de mediadors inflamatoris.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;estudi es va portar a terme utilitzant <a href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/els-animals-en-la-recerca-biomedica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ratolins com animals model<\/a>, aix\u00ed com cultius de <a href=\"https:\/\/ellipse.prbb.org\/ca\/cel%c2%b7lules-immortals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">c\u00e8l\u00b7lules humanes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Els interferons s\u00f3n reguladors clau de les defenses antivirals, per\u00f2 en exc\u00e9s tamb\u00e9 poden ser perillosos.
