“The past, like the future, is indefinite and exists only as a spectrum of possibilities.” With this quote from Stephen Hawking begins the current Performance Report 2019 of the PRBB. From an unusual perspective marked by Covid-19, the PRBB invites us to review the main highlights and activities of the past year.
In 2019 the PRBB recovered the characteristic sheet of water of the building. This sheet of water located at the top of the auditorium makes the light in the inner square more vibrant and connects the building with the sea.
The world celebrates the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci in 2019. A good opportunity to commemorate this multidisciplinary painter and scientist and at the same time explain the research being carried out at the PRBB centers to the public. In collaboration with the TMB Foundation and the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB), a mural decoration was carried out at the Ciutadella/Vila Olímpica metro station with the title “Leonardo at the PRBB“. The exhibit was visible from July 25, 2020 until the Science Week in early November.
